Bio
Derek is a Bellingham native who learned to sing before he could talk. Music has always been his passion and throughout high school, he was a tenor section leader for the SQHS choirs. During and after high school, he was heavily involved in local community choirs including Bellingham Chamber Chorale, and Whatcom Chorale. He has trained under Justin Wisness, Andrew Marshall, Edward Cook, Tim Fitzpatrick, and Deborah Brown, among others. These days he likes to pursue his real passion of soul music and instilling the love of music to young people.
